Wrecking Belle Demolition

Pricing guide

What demolition actually costs.

Every job is quoted after a free walkthrough. Here's exactly what goes into the number, so nothing on your quote is a mystery.

The five things that set the price

1. Size and material. A wood-frame shed and a block garage of the same footprint are completely different jobs. Concrete thickness and rebar matter just as much as square footage.

2. Access. If a machine can drive right up to the job, it goes faster. Narrow side yards, block walls, and backyard-only access mean smaller equipment or more hand work.

3. Disposal. Dump fees are charged by weight and material. Concrete, tile, and plaster are heavy. We recycle what we can, which often keeps disposal costs down.

4. Permits and testing. Full structures and pool fill-ins usually need permits. Older buildings may need an asbestos survey. Both are included in our quotes.

5. What stays. Protecting floors, landscaping, and the parts of a home you're keeping takes time. Selective demo is careful work, and it's worth it.

Pricing FAQ

Why won't you give a price over the phone?

Because two jobs that sound the same can be very different. A 'small shed' can be a resin kit on gravel or a block building on a thick slab with power run to it. A quick walkthrough gets you a real number instead of a guess that changes later.

Is demolition cheaper if I do some of it myself?

Sometimes. Clearing out contents, removing belongings, and taking down small items yourself can reduce the price. Structural work, anything near utilities, and hauling heavy materials are best left to us.

Do permits add a lot to the cost?

Permit fees vary by city and job type. They're usually a small part of the total, and we include them in the quote so you know the full number up front.

What makes a demo job more expensive than expected?

Hidden conditions are the big one: asbestos, extra layers of flooring, thicker concrete than it looks, or water damage behind walls. We look for these during the walkthrough and tell you before we start if anything could change.
